Faculty are actively involved in cutting edge research in the various field of Pharmaceutical science. In our department, we have 4 groups with a Lead Resource Person (LRP); as a care and guide.

  • GROUP 1: DRUG DELIVERY AND DISPOSITION


    LRP: Dr. Bhavna

    Faculty Members: Dr. Habban, Dr. Arvind, Dr. Satish Shilpi, Mr. Samir Bhargava, Ms. Farheen

    This research group works on various drug delivery devices including nano and micro drug delivery systems. The research output is excellent in the shape of high impact publications.

  • GROUP 2: MOLECULAR MECHANISM OF DRUGS ACTION


    LRP: Dr. Chitme

    Faculty Members: Dr. Mammohan, Dr. Mandeep Arora, Dr. Nisha, Mr. Pankaj, Ms. Ritu

    Actively engaged in exploring the molecular mechanism of drug actions, diagnostic and prognostic clinical research. Established molecular pharmacology research laboratory. Two of the research projects are recently funded by Bayer Pharmaceuticals, Germany.


  • GROUP 3: DRUG DISCOVERY AND DESIGNING


    LRP: Dr. Rajeev

    Faculty Members: Dr. Ashok Behera, Dr. Amit Dubey

    Drug discovery and designing group is currently working on various aspects of synthetic chemistry, drug discovery and computer aided drug designing along with other advanced novel tools in drug discovery and development.

  • GROUP 4: NATURAL PRODUCT CHEMISTRY

    Uttarakhand, a Himalayan state enriched with natural resources and rare medicinal plants has enormous opportunities to carry out research in the field of herbal medicines. This research group is working on Natural product Chemistry with biological elucidation.
