Career Services Department (CSD) a team of Young, Energetic, Go-getter, and Goal Oriented Professionals. The department functions round the year to achieve the dreams and goals of budding professionals at the University. The Career Services Department is an interface between the Industry and Academia to streamline the placement and related process for students. A strong Industry-Academia Interface is the KEY for the success of a department like CSD.

The role of career Services department is immensely important to establish this milestones year on year and create a sustainable model for all of our graduates in their future professional world. We strongly believe that classroom education is not enough to face the upcoming future challenges and whirlwind dynamics of the corporate world. Over few years we have been observing a great deal of changes in the disruptive corporate world and their recruitment patterns. Most of them are only looking at highly skilled manpower with innovative minds and readily deployable from day one. The Team Career services consists of officials with varied industry connects are closely working on this space and integrating with academics to incorporate lots of good practices to address this needs.

There is a remarkable growth in industry connect programs by virtue of guest lectures by industry stalwarts , summer trainings & Industrial visits at some of the prominent industry hubs , a specialized intensive career development program ,which itself is a big booster for students to shape up their career well before they graduates . We have been experiencing an encouraging growth in placements through our valued recruitment partners in last few years and added few top recruiting companies over a period of last few months,as a continuous outreach development program .

CSD to guide students to choose the best Career option for them on the basis of their bent of mind, flair, dexterity, and qualification. It also assists students in identifying and developing their academic and career interests, and to set their short-term and long-term goals through individual counseling and group sessions.

To make students 'Industry Ready' and to expand the 'Repertoire of Skills', CSD managed to bag a number of 'Innovation Centres' for the University, in collaboration with industry giants like, IBM, Oracle, Smart Joules, Secure Meters Limited etc. Also, to move hand-in-hand with the pace of industry, Wr arrange various programs in the area of 'Faculty Development Programme, 'Online Education and Certifications','Specialized Trainings', 'Guest Lectures', 'Workshops', 'Placements', etc. with the major players like, Ericsson, Snapdea, Cognizant, Exicom Tele-Systems Limited,L&T, Infosys (under Campus Connect Programme), etc.

Students undergo internships in their pre-final year / final semesters & industrial visit in reputed organizations

Apart from that, the seasoned and accomplished professionals from diverse fields visit the campus throughout the year to interact with students and share their industry experience. Regular Industry Expert Guest Lectures, Seminars, Workshops, etc. are organized for more interactive, nuanced, and informative learning.

Campus Visit- Facilitation

Pre-visit Initiatives:
The University welcomes and facilitates early Pre-Placement Talks, Presentations, etc. All Job Notifications along with any other related materials provided by the recruiters are informed through e-mail or displayed on the students’ notice boards.

Students apply against the Recruitment Notifications and their details are provided to the recruiters on an excel sheet. Soft copies of resumes are also forwarded, if so required, through e-mail.

During the Campus Visit:
The University auditorium is well equipped with the audio-visual facilities for presentations. Adequate space is provided for the written tests that are a part of the selection process. Large halls with every convenience are kept ready solely for this purpose. For online tests, computer labs, fully networked and connected to a 30 Mbps network are provided. More than 300 students can take the online test at a time.

For stay on campus, arrangements are made, on request, at the Institute’s guesthouse that is equipped to provide for every requirement of Institute’s guests. The Institute also arranges for Airport / Railway Station pick-up / drop, if required.

Placement Norms

Placement facility is available to all students registered with the Career Development Centre through its registration procedure. Once the placement process is initiated the students may attend the presentations made by different organizations and accordingly make their decision to attend the respective selection process.

There is no restriction on attending multiple selection processes provided that the timings do not coincide. The student may attend processes for any number of organizations until the first offer is secured. Confirmation of the offer may be by way of the selection list being displayed by the organization or through offer letters issued. Once 85% of the students of a particular branch are placed, a second opportunity may be provided.

Associations

DIT University has entered into several value added associations with several organizations which have resulted in creation of specialized laboratories, introduction of Industry suggested electives, internships as well as scholarships and support towards technical clubs. Some of such associations are with IBM, Oracle, Smart Joules, Secure Meters Limited.
