Quality Sustenance and Enhancement Policy

Quality sustenance and enhancement policy is a mandatory component of all HEI, true to this fact and much to the satisfaction of all stake holders DIT University strives for excellence. Effective higher education standards is a dynamic phenomenon and the measures adopted by the university guarantees quality on aspects of teaching-learning, research and academic administration. This is evident through the principles of transparent Governance, effective Planning & Monitoring and periodic Audit & Feedback. The Key Result Areas are summarized as follows:

Teaching & Learning

  • Emphasize on Outcome Based education (OBE), through regular revision of curriculum. Thereby, incorporating dynamic corporate needs such as newer concepts, tools, techniques, and paradigms. This will ensure the university’s relevance to industry, society and nation as a whole.
  • Work seamlessly with industry to bridge gap in academic learning. This is achieved through expert lectures, seminars, industrial trainings and visits, live projects, On-the-Job trainings, hands on workshops, FDPs and other similar activities.
  • Reform and revise the Evaluation Model periodically (Examination) in order to measure holistic learning and true potential of students regularly.

IT Infrastructure as Force Multiplier

  • Effective use of technologies such Learning Management Systems (LMS) to determine the standards of OBE. Similarly, use of software like ION CUDOS etc, would facilitate measuring program educational objects and program attainment.
  • Use ICT and other innovative technologies for making teaching-learning process more transparent and effective.
  • Implement best of ERP systems such SAP for seamless integration and dissemination of information across all stakeholders for bringing transparency and effective governance in DITU.

Beyond the Academic Curriculum

  • Create a conducive environment for making learning more exciting and full of fun. Especially for newly admitted students, with the provision for orientation cum induction program as mandated.
  • Provision for providing soft skills such as personality development, teamwork, leadership, presentation skills and other life skills that would transform students to be sound professionally and good citizens.
  • Endeavour to undertake extension activities, effectively to connect with society. Indulge in outreach activities such as village adoption, providing free education, tree plantation, water harvesting and other social upliftment activities.

Think Tank

  • Develop policies, systems and mechanism for improving the quality of faculty and staff. Empower them with skills and groom them to be role models for the students.
  • Track students’ progression and obtain regular feedback; In fact, feedback will be taken from all stakeholders such as parents, employers, faculty, students etc. I addition a comprehensive feedback is also taken on completion of a program. This vindicates the need for incorporating dynamism into the process of “Campus to Corporate” path of progression.
  • Promote research quality, consultancy and creation of knowledge through involvement of faculty and students with timely incentives and recognitions
  • Collaborate with peers group and institutions of repute to create an ecosystem that helps in the growth and improvement in higher education system.
