Duration & Eligibility

BArch – 5 Years

Passed 10+2 with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and also at least 50% marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate along with vaild NATA Score.

  • We encourage more on- site activities to enhance practical knowledge apart from the theoretical curriculum and our approach to Architectural Education is hands-on and experiential. The Faculty lays great emphasis on imparting an education that puts Sustainable and Appropriate Architecture at its core, especially in the areas of Systemic and Ecological developments of Habitation and Urbanisation in the Himalayas.
  • The program is of 10 semesters duration
  • Compulsory Practical Training in VII Semester (minimum 16 weeks) 
  • 3 Educational trips spread over 5 years
  • 1 Thesis project in the X-th Semester.
  • The students Participate and win various National levels events of academic and co-curricular in nature at industry and academia alike. We have been three times Zonal Champions (North Zone) of NASA (National Association of Students of Architecture.

Program Educational Objectives

PEO1 Graduates will be able to apply the knowledge in the field of architecture to pursue higher studies and career in architecture consultancy.
PEO2 Graduates will become socially responsible and environmentally conscious architects.
PEO3 Graduates will develop the leadership capabilities and will be able to contribute in multidisciplinary teams.
PEO4 Graduates will be able to demonstrate the professional attitude with ethical responsibility and effective communicating skills.
PEO5 Graduates will be able to apply appropriate techniques and technologies in the field of Architecture.

Outcomes of the Program

PO1 Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, art and architecture fundamentals to the solution of built environment related problems.
PO2 Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyse complex design problems reaching substantiated conclusions using principles of design, natural sciences, and building sciences.
PO3 Design/ Development of Solutions: Solutions for design problems and design building components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO4 Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including case studies, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
PO5 Modern Tool Usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern drafting tools including building information modeling with an understanding of the limitations.
PO6 Architect & Society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional architectural practice.
PO7 Environment and Sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional building solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
PO8 Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the Architect’s Act 1972.
PO9 Individual and Team Work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
PO10 Communication: Communicate effectively on complex professional activities with the architecture fraternity and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
PO11 Project Management and Finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
