An interior design course is an academic program that teaches students how to conceptualize a space based on theme and requirements of the end user, it includes rearch through literature and case study and develop the detailed 2D and 3D drawings incorporating the layout plan, materials and finishes, services, colour scheme, lighting, acoustics to enhance interior spaces and make it functional, safe, and visually appealing. Interior design courses are available as 3-4 year degree, diploma, and certificate programs and prepare students for residential, commercial, corporate, Hospitality and Health care projects.
Bachelor of Design (B.Des) in Interior Design is considered the best course for building a professional career in interior design. It offers in-depth theoretical knowledge, practical studio training, software skills, and industry exposure. Diploma courses are useful for short-term specialization, but a degree program provides better long-term career opportunities and growth.
DIT University currently does not offer a dedicated Graphic Design course. However, the university offers 4 year Bachelor Of Design in Product Design, Animation and Immersive Design, Interior Design and UX Design and also a B.Sc. - Digital Game Design which is for 3 years.
The B.Des in Product Design is a 4-year undergraduate program focused on designing innovative and user-friendly products. The course includes subjects such as design thinking, sketching, materials, manufacturing processes, ergonomics, CAD, and 3D modeling. Students learn through practical, studio-based, and industry-oriented projects.
Yes, a B.Com student can pursue a game designing course, as students from all streams are eligible. These courses focus on game art, storytelling, UI/UX, animation, AR/VR, 2D/3D design, and game development using modern tools and technologies.
