Brief Profile

Somnath Bhui joined the School of Architecture and Planning as an Assistant Professor in August 2026. Somnath received his PG in City Planning from IIT Kharagpur, and B.Arch from NIT Patna. He is pursuing his PhD from IIT Kharagpur. Somnath's interests center upon Transportation Planning, Travel behavioural modelling, Machine learning, Temple Architecture, and Building Construction. He has taught in VNIT Nagpur for two years. Somnath has published in International Journal of Urban Sciences (Taylor & Francsis), and presented his works in several international conferences- 16th WCTR (Montreal), ASCE-ICTD 2024 (Atlanta), 6th CTRG (Trichy).
