Prof. Anupama is an accomplished teacher and researcher and has demonstrated her administrative acumen as Head of Department, and Associate Dean of Practice School (Internship), Work Integrated Learning Program and Online Program at BITS Pilani Goa campus. Dr. Anupama obtained her Ph.D. From BITS Pilani in the year 2004 and became a Professor in 2015 and a Senior Professor in 2023. She has the distinction of being the youngest Professor and Senior Professor in BITS,Pilani. Her area of expertise is wireless sensor networks, embedded systems, deeply embedded systems and IoT, AI and Continum Robotics.
She has guided 12 PhD students and has published more than 100 research articles in leading journals. She has completed research projects sponsored by UGC, GAIL and Microsoft and WIPRO amounting to more than INR 3 Cr. She was awarded a Nokia Research Grant during her Ph.D. She also received Best teacher award constituted by the BITS Alumni in the year 2020.
