The undergraduate program B. Tech in Petroleum Engineering with Specialization in Oil and Gas Data Science is designed for students who are interested in exploring the field of petroleum engineering from a data-driven perspective. The program curriculum includes a combination of core courses in petroleum engineering, data science, and specialized courses in oil and gas data science.
The specialized courses in oil and gas data science delve deeper into areas such as data visualization, data management, data integration, predictive modelling, and decision analysis, all within the context of the oil and gas sector. There is immense growth in the field of hydrocarbon transportation and flow assurance with companies like Saudi Aramco, Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, Technip and TIMS etc. The alumni are working in globally renowned companies such as Halliburton, Shell, Schlumberger and Baker Hughes in the field of data science.
