BTech Computer Science & Engineering with Specialization in Cloud Computing & Virtualization in collaboration with IBM

  • About the program

    This program is being offered in collaboration with IBM India. This will help students understand Cloud Computing and Virtualization technologies. Cloud Computing is very much a work in progress at this time and so while the course comprehensively covers the basic technologies involved, the history of the cloud and its roots in Service Oriented Architecture and Utility Computing, it has ample scope to take in the fast changing models that are thrown out by cloud computing. Students of this program will also benefit from the several practical credits that provide hands-on capabilities on the various aspects of cloud.

    The enhanced learning environment of the department attracts students from all over India and provides an ample scope for betterment in education as well as extracurricular activities. Besides these, the department has developed a strong research interests in faculties as well as students in diverse areas of Cloud Computing & Virtualization. The department is in continuous process of producing talented engineers and leaders to work in various national & multinational companies and institutions.

  • Six weeks Industrial Training is a part of the curriculum.
  • Students may opt for one semester Industrial Internship in the industry as per their choice, if selected.
  • One week Industrial Tour for the students in the fourth semester
  • One major Project spanning over three semesters namely VI, VII and VIII semesters.
  • Students get placements in very good industries with annual package ranging up to Rs. 25 Lakh per annum.

All graduating engineers of Cloud Computing & Virtualization find excellent placements in research-oriented industries and top ranking global companies. DITU alumni from CSE are at the forefront in computer science and related fields within India and abroad. Companies that require specific cloud computing skills or development skills are typically already committed to a specific cloud provider, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform. These positions are often tied to emerging DevOps automation tools and processes, and usually in newly formed enterprise groups. All graduating engineers of CSE with Specialization in Cloud Computing & Virtualization may find excellent placements in research-oriented industries and top ranking global companies and may start their career as:

BTech – 4 Years

Eligibility

Minimum 60% marks in X Std & aggregate 60% marks in XII Std and minimum 60% in Physics Chemistry Maths English/Physics Maths Bio English/Physics Maths English Computer.

Admission Procedure

  • Admissions to the BTech Program would be made on the basis of merit of Joint Entrance
  • Examination JEE -2019.
  • Direct admission for XII Std Board Toppers.
  • Merit Based Counseling will be held on the basis of JEE (Mains) 2019; All India Rank (AIR) followed by 12th Std percentage in PCME / PMBE / PME Comp.
  • Direct Admission to NRI / Industry Sponsored candidates.
