Mr.Jeeten Giri is an Assistant Professor Economics in the School of Liberal Arts and Management. He has completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from University of Calcutta and received his PhD in Economics from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, USA, in 2018. Prior to joining DIT University, Jeeten worked as a full time Visiting Assistant Professor at Union College, New York, USA. He is an applied Economist specializing in international trade and development Economics. He is particularly interested in the patterns of domestic trade, domestic trade costs, and their impact on wages. In development economics, his research focus is on epidemiology, and poverty.
