Dr. Jyoti Prakash Panda is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Panda received his Ph.D. in Computational Fluid Dynamics from IIT Kharagpur, M.Engg. in Mechanics of Fluids from IIEST Shibpur and B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from BPUT, Odisha. Dr. Panda’s research interests center upon computational fluid dynamics, particularly turbulence modelling. His current research interests include, machine learning assisted fast prediction of turbulent flows, data driven turbulence modelling with deep learning and designing anti-turbulence hulls for autonomous underwater vehicles. He has 10 SCI journal publications. Most of the articles are published in the journals of ASME and proceeding of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. In addition to publications in reputed journals, he has published several articles in international conference proceedings. Before joining DIT, Dr. Panda was working as a postdoctoral Research Associate at IIT Kharagpur on a project funded by the Naval Research Board of DRDO.
