His research spans Control Systems, Hydropower Instrumentation, and Renewable Energy, with 80+ publications, 8 patents published, 1 granted patent, 1 design patent registered, and 1 copyright registered and 5 Ph.D. scholars guided. He is the author of a textbook on Electrical Measurements and Measuring Instruments, and a recipient of multiple honors including the Young Scientist Award (2006), Top 20 Thought Leaders in Higher Education (2021), Shiksha Ratna Samman, UIJIR Academic Research Foundation (2022) and Most Promising Academician of the Year, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Excellence Awards (2025). Dr. Singh has been the member of Academic Bodies like Board of Studies, Academic Council, Board of Advisory of distinguished Institutions and Universities of the country.
