Brief Profile
Dr. Sourav Shil is an Assistant Professor of School of Computing at DIT University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. He earned his PhD in Mathematics from Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, India, M.Sc. in Mathematics from Central University Haryana, India, and B.Sc. from University of Calcutta, India.
Apart from that he worked as Junior Research Fellow latter on as Senior Research Fellow at Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, India. Project title: Nonlinear Matrix equations:solution, convergence, perturbation analysis, simulation. (SERB project: CRG/2018/000615), Principal Instructor: Dr. Hemant Kumar Nashine Sponsoring Authority: Department of Science and Technology, Science and Engineering Research Board(DST-SERB),GOVT. of India. Focused research area: Matrix Analysis, Numerical Linear Algebra, Generalized Matrix Inverse, Positive Definite Matrices, Higher Order Iterative Method.
His overall research interests are in various areas of Mathematics such as Computational Mathematics, Numerical Linear Algebra, Matrix Analysis. Many of his work has been published in leading international SCI/SCOPUS indexed journals. Prior to joining DIT University, Dr. Sourav has worked at Department of Mathematics, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, India.
