Dr. Sakshi Semwal is working as an Associate Professor of English at School of Liberal Arts and Management, DIT University, Dehradun. She has joined DIT University as an Assistant Professor in August 2013. She has done her Ph.D. in English Literature from Gurukul Kangri University on the topic " The Novels of Chinua Achebe: A Post Colonial Study ". She is having more than 17 years of experience in teaching and research. Her research interest lies primarily in Post-Colonial Literature, African Literature, Ecocriticism and Cultural Studies. She has published more than 25 research articles and book chapters. Her works have been published in journals of national and international repute (Scopus, Web of Science, UGC Care). She is also a reviewer of many scopus journals in her area. Her literary piece of work; poems and book reviews are fondly appreciated by students & colleagues and has been published with Amar Ujalla and Taylor and Francis. She has edited a book titled 'Postcolonial Literature: Selected essays on Past Present and Future Trends'. She has successfully guided three scholars in the field of Post colonial Literature, African Literature and Film Studies. She is currently supervising scholars in the area of Ecocriticism, Folk Studies, Mythology and Film Adaptation. She has earlier worked as an Assistant Professor at NIT Uttarakhand, Ramanand Institute of Pharmacy & Management & B.S.M.P.G College Roorkee.
