Optimal planning and power flow in power systems including microgrids, renewable energy integration with ML and AI applications in power networks
Ankit Uniyal joined the Department of Electrical and Electronics & Communication Engineering as an Assistant Professor in September 2023. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from NIT Uttarakhand in 2023 and M.Tech. in Renewable Energy Systems from NIT Kurukshetra in 2016. He has been awarded the prestigious POSOCO Power System Award for Research Excellence in Power System (PPSA) awarded jointly by Power System Operation Corporation (POSOCO) and Foundation for Innovation & Technology Transfer (FITT), IIT, Delhi. He has qualified GATE exam in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016. His research works are published in 17 reputed journals, international conference proceedings and books. One of his papers was selected for best paper award at an international conference at NIT Jamshedpur. He has also completed certificate course on “Python for Data Science” with good score. Presently, he is learning relevant tools to use data analytics and AI in the area of smart power grids.
