  • Online Registration is Mandatory.
  • In addition to above Fee, Rs.10,000/- Admission Fee (Non-Refundable) and Rs. 5,000 Caution Money (Refundable) will be charged at the time of admission.
  • Industrial Tour Fee Rs. 25,000/- (on one semester during entire course duration)
  • All the above Scholarships are applicable only on the Program Tuition Fee.
  • Only one type of scholarship can be given, students can opt for the higher %age of scholarship.
  • Scholarship cannot be more than 100% of Tuition fee.

Yes. In the current era, mechanical engineering is linked to the many advanced technologies such as robotics, AI, automation, electric vehicles, design & smart manufacturing. Industries require such mechanical engineers who are familiar not only with machines but also with technology. DIT University offers courses that expose its students to automation & Industry 4.0.

The curriculum of this program includes subjects mainly like Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Manufacturing Technology, Design of Machine Elements, Heat Transfer, CAD/CAM, Strength of Materials, Metrology and Inspection & the Industrial Engineering etc. Students also get opportunities to study robotics, automation, and energy-related subjects through electives.

Students get to know about key software programs including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, ANSYS, MATLAB, Robo studio etc. Programming & simulation skills are also covered.

Yes. Mechanical engineers are eligible to make careers in automation and robot designing. Students learn about robotics mechanism, sensors, actuators, and PLC automation system through their course work.

There are several industry partners associated with the department of Mechanical Engineering such as HYDAC, Bosch Rexroth, SMS Automation, UNO Minda, Ashok Leyland, L&T. Some other partners include CSIR-IIP, iHUB IIT Roorkee, and CIPET.

Labs related to thermal engineering, fluid mechanics, manufacturing, CAD/CAM, metrology, materials science, robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics and industrial automation, Heat transfer, RAC, Materials science are there. Practicals of the students enrolled in mechanical engineering course are performed within these labs.

Yes. The students often undergo industrial tours, workshops, internships & practical projects throughout their coursework. Industrial training or projects also form a part of final year to provide practical exposure.
