  • Brief Profile

    Ram Kumar Gupta is working as an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Humanities and Liberal Arts at DIT University, Dehradun, India. Before joining DIT University, he held positions as Scientist-C and Research Associate at the Patanjali Research Foundation, Haridwar, from 2010 to 2019. His research area is distinguished by a multidisciplinary, evidence-based approach to exploring yoga and mind-body practices in relation to psychological well-being, physiological functioning, cognitive enhancement, and community health promotion. He contributes to academic governance as a member of the Board of Studies (BoS) and participates in Examination and Evaluation Committees across several universities. He also serves as a reviewer of various national and international journals. He is Co-Editor of the book Evidence-Based Perspectives on the Psychophysiology of Yoga and Its Applications, as well as a special issue of Frontiers in Bioscience: The Science of Mind-body Practices. He has authored over 60 research papers, book chapters, and evidence-based articles in leading peer-reviewed journals, including those indexed by PubMed, Medline, Scopus, Web of Science, and PsycINFO, with more than 773 citations to his work.
