  • Brief Profile

    Dr. Parveen Kumar has completed his Bachelor of Sciences (2003), Bachelor of Education (2004), Masters of Sciences in Physics (2006) from M.D. University, Rohtak. He completed his Ph.D. at Thapar University, Patiala in 2011. His Ph.D. thesis was on the field of Ferroelectric materials. He joined as faculty in School of Physical Sciences, Department of Physics, DIT University in 2014 with a specialization in Condensed Matter Physics. He is acting as Chief Warden since 2018. He is teaching Engineering Physics, Mechanics, Classical Mechanics, Solid State Physics, Nanoscale Science and Nano Technology, Analog Electronics to the students at UG, PG and Ph.D. level. He established Materials Research laboratory which is currently known as Materials and Nano Engineering Research Laboratory, a Centre of Excellence at DIT University Campus. He has published 45 research papers in the journals of International repute of high impact factor. His research interests are Electrocaloric materials for solid state cooling, magnetoelectric composites, soft ferrites, metal nano particles, graphene based nano composites for flexible electronics and sensors. He has completed several seed money projects funded by DIT University. He is also the Principal Investigator of a major research project funded by Defence Research and Development Organization, DRDO, Govt. of India. He organised many National Conferences/Symposiums NAEM (2015), MAT (2017) and NEAT (2021) in association with Materials Research Society of India, MRSI and funded by DRDO, DST and CSIR, India.
