In November 2023, Dr. Sharma became a part of the Department of Physics within the School of Physical Sciences. Her academic journey includes the completion of a Ph.D. in Physics at G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, following Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Physics from Kumaun Univeristy, Naninital, Uttarakhand. She achieved DST-INSPIRE (Delhi) Scholarship during her UG and PG program. She also got TEQUIP-III assistantship during her doctoral program. Her doctoral research primarily revolved around theoretical nanoscience. Developed different theoretical models on different properties of nanomaterials. She included different shapes of nanomaterials in her study. She developed unique models to study different properties of nanomaterials. Presently she is working on optical properties of nanomaterials. She also have various research papers in reputed journals.
She also possesses valuable teaching experience gained from M. J. P. Rohelkhand Univeristy Bareilly (U. P.).
