Prayas Singh joined the Department of Physics as an Assistant Professor in January 2023. Prayas Singh received his PhD in Physics from DIT University, Dehradun, and M.Sc. in Physics from NIMS University, Jaipur. Prayas Singh’s interests in soft material physics, lyotropic liquid crystals and their nanocolloids, rheological applications of lyotropic liquid crystals and polymer nanocomposites, water purification, flexible membranes and antimicrobial study from soft materials. He got the international travel grant from SERB and CSIR to attend the 28th International Liquid Crystal Conference 2022 in Lisbon, Portugal. He published 9 research articles in SCI/SCOPUS indexed peer reviewed journals and also published 2 Indian patents. As well as, he attend more than 10 national and international conferences, seminars and workshops during his Ph.D.
