  • Brief Profile

    Amit Chatterjee joined the School of Computing as an Assistant Professor in February 2024. He holds a Bachelor's degree (BTech) from Asansol Engineering College (AEC), West Bengal, and a Master's degree (ME) from the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Indore. Chatterjee earned his PhD in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore, garnering recognition with the MEITY Visvesvaraya Fellowship and the prestigious C V Raman Fellowship from IISC-Bangalore during his academic journey. With a focus on optical instrumentation, signal and image processing, biometric forgery detection, and smart agriculture, he is a dedicated member of the academic community. A life member of the Instrumentation Society of India (ISOI), he has made substantial contributions, including 12 peer-reviewed international journal papers, 25 conference presentations, and five patents. Notably, Dr. Chatterjee recently accomplished the remarkable feat of completing a single-authored book, "Biometric Presentation Attack Detection: Towards securing the biometric authentication systems," with IOP Science (UK).
