He holds a Master of Science in User Experience Engineering from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Chitkara University. With a career spanning UX design, research, and front-end development, Sharma brings a unique blend of design thinking and technical expertise to his teaching and research.
Prior to DIT University, he served as Assistant Professor in the CSE Department at GNA University, Punjab, where he modernised the web development curriculum by transitioning instruction to Angular and TypeScript. His industry experience includes a UX Research Internship at IRIS Audio Technologies, London, where he authored a research study on AI-powered voice isolation (IRIS Clarity); a UX Designer role at Suraasa, Delhi, where he led the iOS mobile app UI design and created a landing page that drove over 60,000 event registrations.
Sharma's research interests lie at the intersection of human-computer interaction, data visualisation, design systems, and emerging technologies. He holds a registered design patent for an "AI-Driven Intelligent Data Analysis and Decision Support Device" from the Patent Office, Government of India, and has co-authored a book chapter on decentralization and consensus mechanisms in blockchain management, published by Bhumi Publishing. He is certified in Google UX Design (Google Career Certificates) and Inbound Marketing (HubSpot Academy).
