    Dr. Uddipak Rai joined the School of Pharmaceutical and Population Health Informatics as an Assistant Professor (Pharmacology) in July 2021. Dr. Rai received his PhD in Pharmacology from IIT-BHU, Varanasi, U.P. in the year 2020. He had completed his M. Pharm in Pharmacology from BIT-Mesra, Ranchi, Jharkhand in 2013 and B. Pharm from SRMS College of Engineering and Technology, Bareilly, U.P. in the year 2011. Earlier, before joining DIT University he worked as an Assistant Professor in the BBD University, Lucknow, U.P. and SRMS College of Engineering and Technology, Bareilly, U.P. He is having total research and teaching experience of 12 years after completion of post graduation. Dr. Rai’s interests center upon type-2 diabetes, diabetic nephropathy, insulin signaling pathways, inflammation, gastric ulcer, cancer and molecular pharmacological techniques such as western blotting and real-time PCR. He is having total 21 quality publications in the reputed and indexed journals with total 470 citations (h-index: 8; i10-index: 8). He is also a life-time member of Indian Pharmacological Society (IPS) and Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI). Currently he is supervising four PhD students. He had also supervised seven M. Pharm students and currently supervising two M. Pharm students.
