• Brief Profile

  Sabyasachi Biswas joined the School of Architecture Planning and Design, as an Assistant Professor in December 2023. Sabyasachi received his M. Des in Industrial Design, and B. Arch from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. Sabyasachi has always been driven by the passion for blurring boundaries between art and design. Over the course of his experience, he has cohesively worked with various faculties to develop interdisciplinary learning opportunities, fostering a broader design perspective, thus, enhancing student experience. He firmly believes that the collaboration with fellow artistes and designers is a catalyst for innovation and artistic expression. He has been instrumental in driving projects conducting research on latest trends and products in the design industry. Before joining DIT, Sabyasachi has authored the paper: "AN EXPLORATORY STUDY:CONCH SHELL CARVING IN BISHNUPUR, INDIA", which explores the history, techniques, and challenges of the conch shell industry and suggests future directions for its growth as a visual communicator.
