    Dr Akhter is working as Assistant Professor-I in School of Pharmaceutical and Population Health Informatics (SoPPHI), DIT University, Dehradun, India since 09 October 2017. He has graduated and Master in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics) from Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi and completed doctoral program in 2016. He had qualified GATE Exam conducted by IIT, Kanpur, Govt of India, percentile score 97.04 in 2007. He had honoured with JRF by UGC Govt. of India, SRF by DST-SERB Govt of India. His work of interest is novel drug delivery system, nanomedicine, nanotechnology-based formulation design, engineering nanoparticles, their surface functionalization for various target diseases including cancer treatment, and development of animal model/xenograft model. He has published >65 research and review papers in high impact journal of repute, 05 book chapters, 08 patents published and 03 Granted, and peer reviewed >61 articles. His present cumulative impact factor is >160 and H-index is 24, Google scholar citation is 1610, Scopus (Elsevier) citation (1,196), and Publon-Web of Science citation (1,125). He has attended and presented many papers at national and international conferences/seminars/symposia. He is an editorial board member of Eur J Med and Oncology (JCR Clarivate IF-2.5). He has been awarded with the research excellence award for the consecutive years 2019, and 2020, and 2021, and 2022 in DIT University.
