• Brief Profile

  Dr. Bhavna working as Associate Professor at Faculty of Pharmacy, DIT University since 2013. She is an alumnus of Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi and completed her B.Pharm , M.Pharm and PhD in years 2003, 2006 and 2011 respectively. She had a total of 15 years’ experience in teaching after her PhD and post PhD 4 years’ of research experience. She was GATE qualified (2004). She is very progressive regarding her teaching and research experience and worked at various positions as UGC fellow (2004-2006), Senior Research Fellow of Indian Council of Medical Research, Delhi (2009-2011), project assistant at, INMAS Delhi. She has guided 17 M.Pharm and 3 PhD and 5 in progress. She has published more than 65+ research and review articles in SCI/Scopus/ indexed journals, 15 book chapters and 7 Textbooks for Pharmacy students. Patents published till date are 29, granted 8, and 2 design patents (published). In 2022 awarded with National fellowship award for teachers through INSA, Bengaluru. She was awarded with excellence in research in 2020 and Women researcher award 2020. She served as Brand Ambassador of Bentham Science for the year 2019. She has also received a certificate of Appreciation “Teacher Innovation Award”, by Sri Aurobindo society, 30th Sept. 2019.

  In 2023, her patented technology was selected by Pharmacy Council of India, on National Pharmacy Education Day 2023. She presented her work patented at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 6th March 2023 and received a certificate of appreciation. She had presented papers and attended many national and international conferences on her name. She attended DST- STUTI program at IIT Gandhinagar, which was DST funded. Recently she was awarded with Research Excellence award 2023, by Dehradun International Science and Technology (DIST), in Teacher of the Year 2023.

  She had life time membership of various professional bodies as IPA (Indian Pharmaceutical Association), IPGA (Indian Graduate Association), SPER (Society of pharmaceutical education and research). She is a registered Pharmacist in Delhi Pharmacy Council and is a member of CRS (Controlled release society, Indian Chapter).
