    Ms. Vidya Chauhan is a microbiologist and academician with over six years of experience in teaching and laboratory work in paramedical and life sciences education. She joined the College of Healthcare Professionals (DITU) as an Assistant Professor in December 2025. She holds a Degree of Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) and a degree of Master of Science (MSc) in Microbiology, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology at Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Her academic and research interests include antimicrobial resistance, clinical microbiology, ethnopharmacology, and phytochemical evaluation of medicinal plants. Her research employs both experimental and computational approaches, including in vitro antimicrobial assays, analytical chemistry techniques, and in silico molecular docking and simulation studies. She has expertise in clinical microbiology, medical laboratory diagnostics, and advanced analytical techniques, including ATR-FTIR, GC-MS, molecular docking, and bioinformatics tools. She has practical experience in hematology, biochemistry, histopathology, cytology, and central laboratory operations, along with laboratory documentation, quality maintenance, and biosafety practices. She has published multiple original research articles and review papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals, covering areas such as multidrug-resistant organisms, phytochemical profiling, polyherbal formulations, bacteriocins, and non-typhoidal Salmonella. In addition to her research contributions, she has actively participated in academic training programs, industrial projects, and internships in reputed medical and Ayurvedic institutions. She is actively involved in curriculum development, student mentoring, laboratory management, and quality assurance activities, thereby contributing to institutional academic.
