    Half  day Seminar on ‘Intellectual Property Rights ‘ was organized  on 14th September, 2019  by the Faculty of management Studies( FMS)  At  Seminar Hall , Workshop Building, DIT University.

    The Seminar was inaugurated by Dr. K.K.Raina, Vice chancellor, DIT University, Prof. V.P.singh ( Dean Academics), Dr. Manoj Bhatnagar (Dean Faculty Welfare) and Dr. Hemraj  Verma ( HOD MBA)  at 10 P.M. Dr.K.K. Raina presented the inaugural address and emphasized on working on socially relevant projects and innovation for better living of the society.

    The technical session started at 11.45 by Mr. Dhruv Narayan Taimini, senior Consultants, San shadow consultants Pvt. Ltd. after a brief High tea break. He explained the rational and aim of the seminar and relevance of securing intellectual property rights in current scenario. Many faculty members, Researchers and students were presented in the seminar. The students were actively joined and involved in the question answer session and activity. The main objective of this seminar was to create awareness about Intellectual Property Rights and Patents and how it can be used.

     Some of the topics discussed are as follows:

    1. What is Intellectual Property Rights?

     2. Types of IPR.

    3. What is Patent and Copyrights with their Importance.

     4. What can be patented?

    5. How to file patent application

    He discussed the idea about the antecedents of IPR, narrated various issues of it and later on focussed on the immerging issues on IPR. He discussed various points to overcome the problems. The session was concluded by the vote of thanks to the guest by Ms. Silky Kaushik, Assistant Professor (FMS) DIT University.
