Create awareness about various diseases amongst people who have no clue about what they are suffering and what they could suffer.

Organize various health camps.

Distribute various medicine boxes and prescription files to needy people. etc.

Faculty Of Pharmacy in association with Aarogya Club keep on organizing various guest lectures and seminars to spread awareness amongst the students about various diseases, health, career aspects and various other topics.

Organizing lunch and health camp for underprivileged people

Faculty Development Program was organized by Faculty of Pharmacy, DIT University, and Dehradun from 11th-14th July 2018. The programme was attended by faculty members, research scholars of DIT University and guests from other Institutes, the total attendee for this programme are 26. The Program was inaugurated by Lamp Lighting for taking blessings of Maa Saraswati. Guests of Honors and Invited Guests were felicitate by Prof. (Dr.) N.V. Satheesh Madhav, Director, Faculty of Pharmacy. Dr Rajeev Kumar Sharma delivered welcome speech. Dr. Bhatnagar, Dean Academic Affairs motivated the audience by his words of wisdom. Prof. Nehrulal, Director, Faculty of Architecture focused on inception to the growth of Pharmacy with Architecture in history of DITU. Scientific Session was started by Prof. Javed Ali, Jamia Hamdard University. He gave Expert talk on “Lipid Nano carrier for Bioavailability Enhancement: Challenges and Opportunities”.

The session was further proceeded by Industrial Expert Talk by Dr. Sunil Baukhandi, Director, GMP Institute. He emphasized on “Current Regulatory Challenges in Pharmaceutical Development”. Prof S. Narasimha Murthy, Mississippi University delivered expert talk with audience through Skype on the topic “Microneedles for Dermal and Transdermal Delivery of of Therapeutic Agents.” Panel Discussion was held on “A Single Dose of 325 mg Paracetamol is sufficient for Multi-Hundreds of Patients: An Expert Opinion on Current and Future Research, Regulatory, Stakeholder and Delivery Perspectives”. Dr. Javed Ali and Dr. Satheesh Madhav chaired the session of panel discussion and deliberated and discussed on the proposed topic. All the members of Faculty of Pharmacy actively participated in smooth conduction of program.

A three days Happiness programme (Art of living) was conducted from 12th -14th July 2018. The Program was inaugurated by Lamp Lighting for taking blessings of Maa Saraswati. Prof. (Dr) K.K Raina, Vice Chancellor, Prof (Dr.) S Swaminathan, Pro Vice Chhancellor,. Prof. (Dr.) N.V. Satheesh Madhav Mr. Nitin Jain were the guest of Honor.Prof. (Dr) K.K Raina presented felicitated Mr. Nitin jain by presenting a bouquet and momento,and Prof.(Dr.) S Swaminathan gave bouquet and momento to Ms. Nandita Singh. Dr Rajeev Kumar Sharma deliver the welcome speech.The programme was attended by the faculty and staffs of DIT University and total attendees for this programme were 22. Spiritual talks were delivered by Mr. Niitin and Ms. Nandita, the entire faculty learnt sudharshan kriya of Art of Living in the happiness programme.

The Aarogya Club of Department of Pharmacy was found with an objective to serve the society and create awareness about health and medication. It provides an opportunity to students to learn by interacting with community and society and also bring awareness on social responsibility. Club is proactive in conducting awareness programs on communicable and non-communicable diseases such as Dengue, Malaria, Diabetes, Cancer, Hypertension, etc. among people in and around Dehradun city. It is also organizing health awareness camps in rural, urban and suburban areas by involving faculty and students. Distribution of various medicine boxes and prescription files to needy people etc. is been appreciated by the health care professionals.
