The Literary Club

 
  • ‘Clikrrati Literati’ , the literary club nurtures the talents of students in literary fields.(Literary events, Poetry)
  • It celebrates major events and occasions by organizing competitions that help students to explore, understand and realize their true selves.
  • Major events are Rajbhasa Mahotsava and Desh Prem Mahotsava.

Spic Macay

 
  • The DIT chapter of SPIC MACAY was inaugurated in April 2012.
  • The club promote Indian culture among youth through classical Music and dance events.

Red Ribbon Club

 
  • The Red Ribbon club formed by DIT, Dehradun in association with Uttarakhand State AIDS Control Society (USACS) under the NSS.
  • The club aims at spreading awareness about AIDS and its prevention through various competitions like Slogan Writing, Painting, Quiz , Essay Competition etc.

Mesmeronica

 
  • The musical club aims at exploring hidden musical talents in students in different genres i.e., instrumental, Indian, classic and folk music.
  • Mesmoronica, the music club of DIT University organized DIT Idol 2015.
  • The Finale of DIT IDOL was conducted in Vedanta Auditorium on  the evening of Friday 16th October 2015.

About Club \ Chapter

SPIC MACAY is a non-political nationwide voluntary movement that organises programmes of classical music and dance, folk arts, crafts, yoga, classic cinema screenings, heritage walks, etc. inside school and college campuses throughout the world to make students more aware about Indian and world heritage. This initiative makes education more holistic and meaningful as it highlights all that is abstract, subtle, inspiring and mystical in the world teaching one to look within oneself. SPIC MACAY runs on the energy of volunteers who come from all walks of life - students, teachers, housewives, professional and retired people, young and old. Nishkam Seva is a key aspect of the movement. Spic Macay DITU Chapter has organised programmes of classical music dance, folk arts like Kathak, Kathakali, Gharwali, Chhau, Violin etc.

Literary Club of DITU aims to develop the real sense of education by assisting each member in realizing that he is his own Guru. Students possessing power of truth would be the creators of tomorrow as they are thinking about it at present. Our vision is to see us work as masters, and not as slaves. We don’t hunt talent, we groom it. The Club is responsible for conducting all literary events in the university. Raj Bhasha Mahotsav, Desh Prem Mahotsav, Debate Competition, Kavi Sammelen, Quiz etc are the major events conducted by the club.
