  • Brief Profile

Dr. Shashvat, Assistant Professor, School of Computing, DIT University, Dehradun. I did my PhD from National Institute of Technology; Delhi, India with 9.43 CGPA (Course Work) and completed my Master of Technology (2014-2016) and Bachelor of Technology (2010-2014) in Computer Science & Engineering from Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar (Punjab) India with 73.2% and 71% respectively. The topic of my dissertation, directed by Dr. Amol P Bhondekar (Principal Scientist, Department of Agrionics) and Dr. Rikmantra Basu, Assistant Professor, National Institute of Technology, Delhi is entitled “Ensemble Model for Forecasting Infectious Diseases”. The work was completed at National Institute of Technology, Delhi. This research work relates to epidemic diseases prediction analysis (Time Series Analysis) using machine learning models and we develop an ensemble model and weighted ensemble model for better accuracy prediction of infectious diseases. The complete process was put into practice using machine learning models such as Support Vector Regression and Neural Network.

Previously in Postgraduate curriculum the Master of Technology where strong emphasis was placed on individual research and intensive academic writes to prepare me for PhD level studies. My scholarly concerns were mostly focused on Machine Learning and artificial Intelligence. As an academician, I find myself consistently engaged with recent research related to machine learning theories and algorithms. I have published around eleven referred journals (SCI). In addition to this I have also presented papers in reputed International Conference such Tier II, III.
