  • Brief Profile

    Dr Prashant Maurya is an Assistant Professor of English in the Department of Humanities & Liberal Arts at DIT University. He obtained his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in English literature from Banaras Hindu University. He carried out his PhD on the Empire Trilogy of Booker winning novelist J. G. Farrell at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. Prashant is interested in historical and colonial /postcolonial literary works and researches related to the British Empire and its South and Southeast Asian colonies. He has published in journals such as Rethinking History (Taylor & Francis), South Asian Popular Culture (Taylor & Francis), Southeast Asian Review of English (University of Malaya), etc. His book chapter in the Handbook of Aging from Springer Nature, Singapore is forthcoming in 2021. He is an Early Career Member of the Royal Historical Society London and serve as Member on the Board of Historical Fictions Research Network, United Kingdom.
