About program
Diploma in Civil Engineering in DIT University, Dehradun provides an advanced infrastructure equipped with modern labs and state of the art classrooms. Highly qualified faculties and skill full staffs nurture the engineering skills of students. Whole program is designed to provide more exposure to the practical than theory for enhancing technical insight of students.
We have well equipped labs like fluid mechanics lab and geotechnical engineering lab for basic understanding of the application of science in engineering. Concrete technology lab and building materials labs are practiced to understand construction practices practically. Our surveying lab is equipped with all the industry required engineering instruments including total station. We provide exhaustive surveying sessions to the students for developing best surveying skills.
Training in building drawings and basic computer labs for development of skills in computer aided designs is provided to the students of our Diploma program. Courses related to construction management and communication skills are also being taught to groom the students for construction industry. Students undergo industrial training in the last year for getting an insight of real world construction scenario. Students take field oriented projects in the final year, solve them and acquire enough practical exposures.
