International Symposium on Role of Nanomaterials in Energy-Efficient Processes for Sustainable Environment

DIT University (DITU) organized an International symposium on Role of Nanomaterials in Energy-Efficient Processes for Sustainable Environment (ISNESE 2019) on 22-23rd August 2019. This symposium was funded by Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology and Chakr Innovation. The objective was to deliberate on the various themes related to Concept and Applicability of Nanomaterials, Environmental Dynamics, Energy conversion processes etc. The International speaker was Dr. Achintya Bezbaruah from North Dakota State University who gave a wonderful speech on the role of nanomaterials in controlling genetic structure of plants species. Dr. Vinod B. Mathur, Director Wildlife Institute of India was the honourable chief guest in the inaugural session who stressed on the need of inter disciplinary research of nanotechnology application on Environment and ecology. The symposium was presided by the Renowned Academician and Advisor General to Chairman DITU: Dr. R. C. Goel, Chancellor: Shri N. Ravi Shanker, Vice Chancellor: Dr. K. K. Raina, ProVice Chancellor: Brigadier (Dr) M Srinivasan (Retired) and Convenor ISNESE 2019: Professor Naveen Singhal who all conveyed the importance of Environmental Sustainability and natural conservation for future generation. The Symposium was attended by Scientists and Scholars from Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehradun, Amity University, Noida among many such reputed organizations. In the valedictory function, certificates of best oral and poster presentation were distributed to students by Vice Chancellor and Convenor, DITU. The symposium was ended by a group photo session.
