DIT is the place to keep both the mind and the body in shape. Whether you want to just burn off some steam or are a serious sportsman, DIT has something for you. Getting in shape has never been this easy.
 
Sports and physical activities are an integral part of our curriculum. The institute has a separate covered hall for indoor games like table tennis, carom and chess etc. Adequate facilities/ courts are available for volley ball, badminton, basket ball and cricket. If you are into fitness and pumping iron, then you should head to our fully furnished gymnasium ‘Shakti’ to stretch your muscles. The gymnasium has all the makings of a professional gym. You’ll find treadmills, joggers, cycles, multi-gym, rowers, cross-trainers besides others.

Frequent intra-level cricket and other matches are arranged. Our students actively take part in many college and university level sports meets and have made DIT proud by winning prizes. Our students have won gold, silver and bronze medals in track and field events and discuss throw in the District Athletic Meet held at the Doon School. What’s more, students can avail bowling and horse riding facilities in downtown Dehradun.

The campus of DIT Dehradun is one of the most versatile campus with various activities and sports events conducted throughout the year. The students have access to various sports facilities such as basketball courts, badminton & tennis courts, football and a cricket field. Students can also benefit from professional coaching available inside the campus.
 
Sports play an integral role in the overall development of students and due emphasis is laid on games and sports. Facilities for indoor games like: TT, badminton, volleyball, basketball exist and arrangements are made to send students to other colleges for outdoor games like cricket & football. The Institute is the current Atheletics champion of UTU games held on 24th February and Basket Ball Champion in recently held national sports meet at Gurukul University.
