What is conditional admission? 
  • Reservation of student's seat for a particular course based on a previous Passed examination
Is the admission fee refundable for Conditional Admission? 
  • Yes, before 30 June, but Rs. 1000 /- will be deducted
Is NATA exam compulsory for B.Arch? 
  • Yes, a valid NATA score.
At what minimum percentage, the admission in DITU is offered? 
  • There are different criteria of minimum percentage in every stream. Please refer to the website
Can we visit the campus? 
  • Yes, you can but you should have negative Covid report, you can only visit till Vedanta building.
Can a student pursue B.Des with humanities as a major subject in 12th? 
  • Yes
What are the safety measures that the University take for girl students? 
  • We do have full CCTV enabled campus. Separate hostels for girls. Respective Warden keeps a regular check on rooms in hostel. Security guards are monitoring activities of students on all the entry and exit gates. No Males are allowed to enter the Hostel premises whether they are faculties/DITU employee or even parents.
What are the major precautions DITU is ensuring to control COVID 19? 
  • Sanitizers are placed in the campus within the University. At the main gate, proper sanitization and Covid negative reports are being checked of the individual as well as any vehicle, entering the university. Mask is mandatory for every students. Campus is ensuring highest standards of safety. Campus is maintaining social distancing protocol as well.

What is the eligibility criteria for B.Tech in CSE? 
  • The eligibility criteria for B.Tech in Computer Science engineering is Minimum 60% marks in X Std. & aggregate 60% marks in XII Std. and minimum 60% in PCME/PMBE/PMEC
I Have completed my 12th with science PCB can I go for the BCA? 
  • No, because the eligibility criteria for BCA is student should have Maths in 12th class with Minimum 50% marks in XII Std.
Can I get scholarship in B.Tech-CSE program, I have scored 65% in PCME? 
  • No. you aren't eligible for the scholarship because the scholarship criteria for B.Tech-CSE programs is student should have scored more than 75% and above in PCME.
I have completed graduation in B.Sc. Computer Science, what are my prospects of going for MCA? 
  • You can take admission in MCA if you have passed B.Sc. with Mathematics at 10+2 Level or at Graduation Level with minimum marks 50% and 45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category).
I have done B.A.in English, History and Geography so can I take admission in M.A. Economics? 
  • No. you are not eligible for the admission because for M.A economics students should have Economics In graduation as one of the subjects.
I have done diploma in computer science engineering so can I take admission in B.Tech (LE) Civil Engineering? As I want to change my branch also. 
  • Yes .you can change your branch and you can take admission in B.Tech (LE) civil engineering.
Is there any scholarship for the Uttarakhand domicile student? 
  • Yes, we are offering 26% scholarship on Uttarakhand domicile.
Is it possible to sit for the placements if you have one or more back paper pending? 
  • No, most of the companies don't consider backlogs.
Do we provide internships in all 4 year programs? 
  • Yes, For 4 year degree program it is in 2nd year & 3rd year as summer internship for 2 month (4 Weeks). And in final year it will be 6 month of internship (optional) as per the hiring organization requirement.
Is there any Training program for the students before the placements? 
  • Yes, we have in house training department called CDC Department. We have session almost before every placement drive with the targeted and concerned students.
What if we live in Dehradun from the past 10 years, but do not have the domicile, so are we eligible for the UK Quota scholarship? 
  • No, you need to have an Uttarakhand domicile holder, to avail the UK Quota scholarship.
Are there any distant courses available? 
  • No, we only have regular courses, and 75% attendance is mandatory.
Is there any Loan facility? 
  • We do have tie ups with banks like, Axis bank, OBC Bank and SBI
  • We can provide you with the loan letters, at the time of your admission.
Do you provide International Placements? 
  • Yes we do provide International Placements, as we have placed our students in MountMeru, Undostres, and Silver Peak to name a few.
Is the admission Fee 10000/- , later will be adjusted in Semester Fees? 
  • No. This amount is in addition to the Semester's Fee.
Can P.G students take single room in hostel? 
  • This option is only available for final year Girls students and is subject to availability.
Is laundry and gym membership included in hostel fee? 
  • Yes
What are your stipend policies for full time PhD scholars? 
  • Those full time PhD scholars who are NET/ GATE qualified, will be eligible for a stipend of Rs. 16000/- per month as stipend towards Teaching and Research Associate ship, as per availability of teaching positions.
  • Candidates who qualify DUET exam for Ph.D. admission with 60% or more in DUET shall be eligible to receive Rs. 10000/- pm as stipend towards Teaching and Research Associate ship (TA/RA).
Is DITU a Private or Government university? 
  • DITU is a state private university, approved by UGC.
Is Lateral entry mentioned in the degree in case of B.PHARM/B.TECH? 
  • No, Lateral entry is not mentioned in the degree
Can Student pay their fee in instalments? 
  • Yes you can pay as we are charging fee semester wise

  • No, the registration amount, i.e. Rs. 1250 is nonrefundable.

  • NO, You have to make payment of hostel fee annually.

  • At least 6.5 CGAP, if you are looking some good brand for job opportunity.
10th percentage will be counted or not in the placements? 
  • Yes, it should be 60%, but some companies have no % Criteria also.
