Profile:

Dr Goel is a seasoned academician and an able administrator with over 44 years of unparalleled experience in academia and industry. He earned his BE, PG & ME (Electrical) from Roorkee University with top grades from where he went to Dresden Germany (1967-69) to pursue his PhD in Engineering.

With a keen interest in research activities, he has over 61 research papers published to his credit and a large number of thought provoking discussions in national and international journals, which have been highly acclaimed.

His corporate endeavours include being the Principal of Hindustan College of Science & Technology, Agra (1996-99), Guest Faculty at IET Lucknow (1992-96), Principal MMM College of Engineering Gorakhpur (1986-87) where he also served as Assistant Professor (1962-69) and headed the Department of Electrical Engineering, as well as a Lecturer for four years (1958-62) on the rolls of his alma mater Roorkee University where he also helped set up the Electrical Machines Laboratory.

During his long and illustrious career, Dr Goel had been on foreign assignment to the Govt of Iraq as Visiting Professor of Electrical Engineering at University of Basrah in the years 1977-79, 1981 and 1984-85.

Dr Goel is the recipient of numerous national and international recognitions bestowed on him all through his career, and has been with DIT since 2000 as a mentor and advisor to the Unison Education Foundation.
